+1 - the eleventh principle

What is consent?

Give only what’s appreciated. Take only what’s offered.

At Lost Paradise we are free to express ourselves, connect, share, create and fully experience the moment. But whenever our actions directly affect another person’s experience, consent comes first.

Lost Paradise is a diverse community, bringing together people with different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and communication styles. The clearest way to respect one another is through open, direct, verbal communication.

Consent means making sure that everyone involved is comfortable with what is happening - and remembering that consent can always be changed or withdrawn.

Why does it matter?

Consent is at the heart of creating a safe, respectful and trusting community. It lets us explore freely while respecting the boundaries and autonomy of others.

If it’s not a clear yes, don’t assume. Ask.
